Classroom Speakers
Representatives from business and industry who give presentations in a classroom describing their jobs or career fields.

Career Day Participation
(as planned by each individual school)

Service Learning
Voluntary unpaid opportunities at a non-for-profit or public sector worksite.

Job Shadowing
Involves following and observing one or more people while they work at their jobs. The goals is for the student to learn as much as possible by observing, listening, asking good questions, and taking good notes about the elements of the industry.

Workplace Mentoring
Involves a supportive relationship established between the student and a person in the workplace. The mentor offers support guidance, and assistance as a role model.

Internships
Involves working in a business for a prescribed period of time, either paid or unpaid. During that time the student is engaged in meaningful assignements. Students are expected to bahave as employees of the business.

Cooperative Education
Combines paid on-the-job training with related concurrent classroom instruction. It is designed to develop and refine competencies to adjust and advance in an occupation. Students are required to be enrolled simultaneously at an assigned job site and in a related vocational education class.
